Abstract
The impact of the Radar Altimeter RA-2 on the ASAR instrument is analysed. The coincidence of the altimeter transmission time and the ASAR receiving window position is investigated. SIR-C ScanSAR data are used to demonstrate the effect of the interference error on the final image.
