Abstract
Im Rahmen der Diplomarbeit wird ein neuer Algorithmus zur SAR-Datenkompression vorgeschlagen. Dieser Algorithmus besteht aus der Synthese von BAQ (Block Adaptive Quantizer) und VQ (Vector Quantiyer) und erreicht einen Berechnungsaufwand nur geringfuegig ueber dem des BAQ und eine Codierungsqualitaet nahezu die des VQ.
