Abstract

The paper describes a procedure realized at DLR to generate calibrated imagery from synthetic aperture radar systems installed onboard of small aircrafts. A receiver gain control system (STC) is The correction of the STC variable receiver gain, the compensation of the translational and rotational motion errors of the aircraft and the calibration of the radar data in the SAR processor are described.
