Abstract
This work gives reasons for using the selected algorithm for ScanSAR image compression. The algorithm is descibed in detail together with experimental results of our detailed study. Results in terms of signal-to-distorsion-noise ratios (SDNR) and phase errors (standard deviation) are compared to results gained upon stripmap SAR images.
