Abstract
ERA-ORA is a co-operative project fuinded by the EC withing the Environmnet and Climate research and technological development programme in the field of space techniques applied to environmental monitoring and resesarch. A coordinated use of data and models stored in the Distributed Library will be organised with the followin objectives: to assess the enhancement of sensitivity deriving by a synergistic use of different instruments and techniques; to improve the modeling accuracy and to devise and develop retrieval procedures; and to define efficient radar/optical configurations leading to asufficient retreival accuracy.
