Abstract
In support of national and international scientific resesarch programmes on global environmental monitoring, the DLR DFD operates a network of ground stations to receive data from remote sensing satellites. In an unprecedented effort, DLR deployed a mbile receiving station in Mongolia in August 1997 to enable a unique acquistion scenario of ERS Tandem and JERS-1 data in autumn 1997 and summer 1998.
