Abstract
Die Strahlungsemission von Regentropfen bei 19 GHz wird modelliert und mit Messungen verglichen. Der Polarisationsunterschied zwischen horizontaler und vertikaler Polarisation stimmt bei Berücksichtigung realistischer Tropfenformen in der Modellierung gut mit den Meßergebnissen überein. Die Ableitung von Regenrate und Wolkenflüssigwassergehalt aus Doppelpolarisations- radiometermessungen wird diskutiert.
