Abstract

A new method to compute quasi-cylindrical multilayer and multiconductor structures is proposed. The method is based on the integral equation technique in combination with the spectral domain method in circular-cylindrical coordinates. The dyadic Green's function for the unperturbed problem derived in conventional circular-cylindrical coordinates serves as starting point. To treat the quasi-cylindrical structure, its solution of the unperturbed problem will be perturbed. An expression for the corresponding perturbation term in the Helmholtz equation for the dyadic Green's function is derived using vector Green's theorem in two dimensions. A comparison of the numerical results obtained, based on perturbed and unperturbed solution is presented.
