Abstract
A simple mathematical relation between the method of lines (MoL), a semi-analytical finite-difference procedure, and a moment method based solution of an integral equation in spectral domain is presented. Implicit basis and weighting function as well as nodes and path of the integration procedure are identified and discussed.
