Abstract

Remote sensing interpretation algorithms often base on model inversion techniques. The quality of the interpretation results depend on the quality and adequateness of the used model. Therefore the question of applicability of the model and it's validation in the given situation plays an important role. The paper demonstrates how optical and concentration measurements from the BALTIRS2000 campaign can be used to validate a given case 2 Baltic Sea water model.
