Abstract

This paper describes a method that helps to guarantee and verify the accuracy of the co-registration module of an interferometric system. As an example, SRTM mission conditions and data are used. Geometrical predictions are derived for azimuth and range. Finally, the verification approach is shown by comparing theoretical expectations for range co-registration parameters with actual measurements from the data. Potential further applications are RADARSAT repeat pass interferometry and may arise with the ENVISAT/Cartwheel configuration.
