Abstract

Improvement of the GOME data processor enable now the retrieval of minor species on a pre-operational basis with the emphasis on global BrO and H2CO distributions. Data were taken from a period in 1997 where biomass burning events were used to derive the H2CO concentriation. The BrO distribution was determined from data in fall and winter of 1997, with special emphasis in and around the ozone hole.
