The contribution to deliverable D6.5.6 presents a high velocity impact test study with 32 plates manufactured from IMA/M21E to investigate the effect of preload on the impact response. The tests were performed with glass sphere and ice impactors. The report summarizes material characterization tests that were performed with T800S/M21 and IMA/M21E coupons to identify delamination model input parameters. For the T800S/M21 also intra-laminar tests with layups between +/-25° and +/-80° were conducted.
