Abstract
Unbemannte Fluggeräte, die mit hochauflösenden Kameras bestückt sind, unterstützen in zunehmendem Maße die Lagefeststellung in besonderen Einsatzlagen der Gefahrenabwehr. Anhand des Einsatzes deutscher Experten auf Zypern im Juli 2011 werden exemplarisch der Status quo des Einsatzes von UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) im Bevölkerungsschutz sowie die absehbare und die wünschenswerte Entwicklung, nebst ihren Bedingungen, beschrieben.
