Abstract

Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) aims amongst others for departure flow control by means of pre-departure sequencing, at big airports mostly done tool-based with a Departure Management System (DMAN). The generic research Departure Management prototype system CADEO, developed by the German Aerospace Center (DLR), aims not only for flow control, but also for departure takeoff sequence optimisation. The former release of CADEO, the Eurocontrol/DLR DMAN was developed jointly by Eurocontrol and DLR. CADEO was used in several human-in-the-loop simulations for Stockholm Arlanda and Prague Ruzyne, as well as for passive shadow mode trials at Brussels airport
