Abstract
Active control techniques in pilot assistance systems help the pilot to easier perform a safe and effective flight and to enable a 24h all weather operability. The classical two dimensional approach of a combination of advanced visual cueing and intelligent control augmentation can be extended by a third dimension, namely tactile cueing by active inceptors, to reduce workload and increase safety
