Kurzfassung

The research goal of this master's thesis is to develop a systematic method for the model based software development, which combines the Problem Frames and the System Modeling Language (SysML). The Problem Frames provide a concrete way for performing the requirements engineering. The SysML provides good modeling constructs. However, the Problem Frames do not have standard notations and lacks in linguistic support. The SysML lacks in methodological support. Also the SysML is mostly design oriented and needs more support for the requirement analysis. So we propose to combine these two methods which will result in getting the standard notations for the Problem Frames using SysML and the improvement in the requirement modeling process in SysML using the Problem Frames. The proposed approach would be developed using Development Process for Embedded System (DePES) which provides a systematic software development method based on the international software development standards. The advantage of the proposed approach is that all the artifacts created during the software development are modeled and linked into one homogeneous model which facilitates a smooth transition from requirement elicitation to design, implementation, testing and maintenance phase. It provides better requirements traceability and verification. As a proof of concept, the proposed approach would be applied to the development of software for the helicopter's pilot assistance system.
