Abstract

An active twist model rotor blade has been designed and built by the Institute of Composite Structures and Adaptive Systems. The design is based on a Bo105 model rotor blade and is called AT4. The model rotor has been operated as a one-bladed rotor with a counterweight at the opposite side in order to balance the rotor. The tests have been performed at the DLR Instititue of Flight Systems between January and April 2009. This report presents the model set-up, calibration works in the pre-test phase, model instrumentation, data acquisition, test conduction, and some representative results.
