Abstract

How can we best cope with the future traffic growth? In its research project Airspace Management 2020, the DFS Research and Development department together with the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) is trying to find an answer to this question. In the long run, an airspace could be created without any sectors. Initial simulator experiments conducted by the DLR were very promising.
