Abstract

SCIAMACHY on ENVISAT observes Noctilucent Clouds (NLCs) in the polar mesosphere. The mesosphere is considered to be sensitive to global climate change. In addition our measurements provide insights into solar impacts on the upper atmosphere over a complete solar cycle.
