The paper presents an analytical approach to tackling the problem of diffraction of harmonic waves by configurations consisting of penetrable wedges with a common edge (sectored media). Such problems are shown to reduce to systems of singular integral equations, which (regardless of the total number of sectors present in the configuration) is equivalent to a pair of integral equations of the second kind with smooth kernels. These equations provide a computational tool that may be used in the high-frequency analysis of electromagnetic scattering from large non-metallic objects.
