Abstract

This paper describes the results of an experimental aerothermodynamic study of a generic flap configuration with slit in the High Enthalpy Shock Tunnel Göttingen (HEG). The influence of a slitin the vivinity of the hinge line of the flap model on the heat loads and flap efficiency is investigated.
