Abstract

This article presents the results of calculations of a generic medium range aircraft with air intakes and ducts in comparison to a reference aircraft configuration. Main goal of the investigations is to detect an optimal mounting position of the intake unit inside the fuselage regarding pressure coefficient c<sub>p</sub>, total pressure coefficient "eta" and distorsion "DC". It could be shown that there is an impact of the flow conditions in environment of the intake unit to the aerodynamics around the aircraft geometry.
