Investigation and Generation of a Backscattermap in X-Band with TerraSAR-X Data

Kurzfassung

This document describes the analysis and development of a software tool to generate backscattering maps of the ground from quicklook images provided by the Terrasar-X system. A theoretical analysis of the software requirements regarding the main steps of a backscattermap generation is presented as well as an error estimation table showing sources of errors related to the software modules and the affected parameters. Furthermore the different developed software modules are described in detail and possible future improvements are presented.
