Abstract

In this WP the impact of the ionosphere on sounder images is reviewed and discussed with respect to a sounder mission scenario for Mars or the Earth. For the individual ionospheric distortions correction approaches / methodology are introduced and discussed. Their individual suitability for the two mission scenarios is evaluated and their performance is – where possible – assessed.
