Abstract

Real time simulations for the integration of UAVs into non-segregrated airspace were carried out using DLR's air traffic simulator with air traffic controllers and UAV pilots. The workload for the controllers increased slightly in the beginning, however, it could be demonstrated, that UAVs can be integraded into airspace easily if they operate according the rules for manned aircraft.
