Abstract

The TanDEM-X Ground Segment Baseline Definition (GSBD) constitutes the formal technical response to the TanDEM-X Mission Requirements. It is an element of the TanDEM-X design definition file (DDF) and is complemented by the management file that includes work package definitions, planning and costs. The TanDEM-X Ground Segment Baseline Definition establishes the TanDEM-X ground segment facilities and services that need to be provided in order to fulfil the requirements stated in the TanDEM-X Mission Requirements Document (MRD). It consists of the technical definition of the ground segment, including its architecture, implementation baseline and operations. All the assumptions made for this technical baseline and the interfaces required to major internal and external systems are also specified.
