Abstract
The finite element analysis based on a hierarchical p-elements procedure can reduce the magnitude of discretization error to the desired accuracy of FEM solutions with minimum computational cost and computer resources. This study aims to 1) implement a program for 2-D quadrilateral p-elements and 2) analyse the convergence and compare it to hmethod with some numerical examples.
