AWIATOR Technical Report: Evaluated flight performance data for selected procedures

Abstract

One objective of the AWIATOR Task 1.3 is the flight test demonstration of improved low noise approach procedures in conjunction with innovative wing control devices. This demonstration is unavoidable conducted under real world conditions as wind, turbulence and different aircraft weights from one procedure start to the next procedure start and should allow statements about: - the operational feasibility and safety - the performance of the used additional wing control devices - the associated benefits using the new wing control devices The flight test realization and its primary results are described in detail in [1]. This report in addition covers the above mentioned topics. Since no repetition of tested approach procedures was possible due to the lack of sufficient flight test time, statistical analyses could not be performed. Therefore, all statements below have correspondingly limited significance.
