The ATTAS Software-Development-Environment is based on pure source code files and problem-oriented development tools with automatic pram code generation capability. Since 1998 the Software-Tool MATLAB/SIMULINK with Real-Time Workshop as problem oriented tool has been used to design flight control systems and in-flight simulation applications. The Real-Time Workshop is a special feature to generate C source code files directly out of a Simulink model. However the structure of the source code generated by the standard Real-Time Workshop coder is not suitable to be used directly inside the ATTAS experiment system. For this reason the program code generation of the standard Real-Time Workshop was modified extensively by the DLR. As the result this hybrid program system can be loaded directly into the ATTAS experiment computer system.
