Abstract
It is shown that for ultra short time scales the parabolic heat conduction equation fails and, therefore, the hyperbolic heat conduction equation must be used. Furthermore, a derivation of the HHCE is given in the frame of the extended thermodynamics. A simple and easy to understand explanation of the physical meaning of the temperature relaxation time is given.
