Abstract
A new empirical model of the O<sup>+</sup>-He<sup>+</sup> ion transition level during low solar activity is developed using in-situ measurements from the Atmosphere Explorer - C satellite. It simulates the level’s longitudinal, latitudinal, seasonal and diurnal variations.
