A series of tests with a 1:5 scale model of Electre was performed in the HEG. The model was studied at two test conditions, on and off axis and two rotational positions. The repeatability of the tests was good, although both the heat flux and the pressure measurements indicated on and off axis differences, possibly caused by focussing of waves on the nozzle axis. Comparisons with numerical calculations yield reasonable agreement for the pressure and heat flux distributions, with the absolute values calculated between the results of the experimental values of the on and off axis measurements. The small deviations obtained between calculations and experimental values, on the conical section of the model, are explained with the uncertainty of the determinationof the free stream conditions.
