Abstract

The rotational temperature of 02near a hot model surface in a hypersonic free jet is investigated by means of the Laser-Induced Preddissociative Fluorescence (LIPF) technique using ArF excimer laser. To analyze the hybrid spectra of incoming molecules and reflected molecules from the surface, the rotational spectra between 200K and 1200K are studied theoretically and experimentally. Measurements of the rotational temperature near a hot Cu-disk have been made and the possibility for applying the 02-LIPF technique to the hypersonic flow field near a hot surface is discussed.
