Abstract

A survey of the various algebraic turbulence models implemented in CEVCATS is given and the k-w-model is described. The predictions of the CEVCATS algebraic models are then compared to experimental results for an attached hypersonic flow without boundary-layer/ shock interactions. The configuration chosen for the computations is HALIS. In a second step, FLOWer calculations are carried out to validate the k-w-model for hypersonic flows at Mach numbers well below 10, attached boundary layer and without any interactions shock/boundary layer or shock/shock.
