Abstract

The ALVAST half-model was investigated in a cruise configuration and a take-off configuration with and without Through-Flow Nacelle in the DNW-NWB Low-Speed Wind Tunnel Braunschweig at Mach numbers of 0.14, 0.18 and 0.22 in order to evaluate the half-model test technique in this wind tunnel. The model geometry and the model mounting in the test section are described. Results of the force and pressure distribution measurements are presented in comparison with full-span model results from DNW-tests and differences are analyzed and discussed.
