In this contribution are investigated the aerodynamic engine- airframe interference effects for different positions of the propulsion unit under the wing of a generic transport aircraft of Airbus type, the DLR-F6 configuration. The basic position of the nacelles was already investigated by ONERA and DLR in a previous study. Two other positions have been selected after analysis of computational results obtained at DLR. Then a detailed analysis of interference effects was performed, based on both computational results given by ONERA-CANARI code and DLR-CEVCATS code, and experimental results obtained at the ONERA- S2MA wind tunnel. The installation of nacelles under the wing has a strong influence on the aerodynamics of the wing and this influence varies strongly with the nacelle position. This is clearly observed on the theoretical as well as the experimental pressure distributions.
