The contribution describes wind tunnel measurements of aerodynamic forces, pressure distributions and surface visualization for the FALKE model. FALKE is a model of the US-Orbiter in the scale 1:5.427. The test results taken in the subsonic wind tunnel DNW enable validation of computational methods for reentry vehicles in landing conditions at high Reynolds numbers, where strong vortical flow occurs in the upper side of the configuration.
