Abstract

A numerical investigation of interference phenomena of an upper wing mounted engine configuration is presented. The analysis is based on the Euler equations. Variations of the engine position, the pylon shape and the pylon toe angle are performed for a generic large commercial transport aircraft at cruise conditions.
