Abstract
The MOS system concept and its main system parameters are presented. The system design for ocean- and atmospheric research is discussed. The multisensor experiment PRIRODA, including MOS, is reviewed. The basic scientific goals for ocean- and atmospheric research within the scope of the PRIRODA experiments is presented.
