Our program to derive accurate astrometric positions of asteroids from CCD frames, taken originally for photometric lightcurve observations, has been presented. The potential of this method to determine positions of comets, using the same equipment, has been discussed. An example of positions derived for NEO 1992WD5 has shown as illustration.
