Abstract

Voyager 1 nad 2 images of the six Saturnian satellites Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea and Iapetus have been investigated in the orange (OR), grren (GR), and violet (VI) spectral range. The objective of our study was to examine and compare spectra differences of surface features in order to obtain information about compositional trends. After several steps of data reduction, the OR, GR, and VI reflectances of 324 selected points have been measured. Additionally,the six satellite surfaces have been subdivided into 50 spectral or photogeological homogenious regions. The "spectra" of these 50 regions, which have been made out from the 324 measured spectra, are the basis of our interpretation.
