Abstract
The determination of the chemical composition of cometary solid materials was one of the major goals of the three missions to comet Halley, VEGA 1 and 2, and GIOTTO. Start from these chemical data a mineralogical interpretation of the silicatic component was tried. In the result there seems to be a trend, which points to silicates like Olivine, Pyroxene,. rather as to phyllosilicates or other silicatic weathering products. But, it is no to shut out that such speciesare part of the outermost dart crust of Halleys nucleus. However, analytically there are no hints to such compounts.
