Abstract

Packet radio techniques are widely used today. Mobile networks are a very important application field. In most performance evaluations, an error-free transmission channel is assumed. This assumption is not valid for mobile applications. We investigate channel access protocolsin error-prone transmission channels. Three access methods are compared under identical environmental conditions, using fixed TDMA, a demand assignment method.
