The Near Range Radar Network (NRN) as an Example for a Multisensor-System with autonomous Communication Links

Kurzfassung

In this presentation a novel development of a network of small radar sensors with low transmitter power is being demonstrated. The purpose of this network is primarity the surveillance of the ground traffic on airports. The technique of target localization via a multiple trilateration process from four radar stations which are situated at the four corners of the surveillance area of typical 2 sgkm is being displayed. Furthermore the new principle of the internal network data traffic via the radar beams together with the synchronisation principle are being explained.
