Abstract

Value estimations of the rain, hail and ice crystal contributions to the precipitation microwave emission third Stoke parameter (Tu) have been carried out for its measurement possibilities determi- nation. Calculations are based on approximate resolutions of the boundary problems for the radiative transfer set equations which describes the polarized microwave emission propagation through homogeneous plane parallel layers of rain, hail and ice crystal oriented, non-spherical particles.
