Abstract

Three DLR institutes, the cluster "Sensorik fuer Fernerkundung & Navigation", and two italian CNR institutes, I.R.E.C.E. and I.I.V., carried out a joint airborne multisensor campaign in the Mt. Etna area in summer 1996. The site is of high geological interest. The deployment of the E-SAR, the DAIS and the WAAC resulted in unique data sets to analize the synergy between optical and radar sensors.
