Abstract

New range and azimuth scaling functions are presented in this paper. They can be introduced into the processing of SAR and ScanSAR data for automatic geometric scaling in range and azimuth direction. These phase functions were implemented into the extended chirp scaling algorithm for air- and spaceborne SAR data processing. The use of the proposed scaling functions is to avoid time consuming interpolation steps after raw data processing.
