Abstract
A new data-format for the DLR E-SAR with corresponding hardware is specified. Inputs are I- and Q-raw data, annotation and auxiliary data and control signals. The output interfaces to the SONY DIR 1000 M digital recorder. The formatter has a flexible design with respect to input interfaces, quantizing, record length and data rates. All controll functions are realized withprogrammable logic devices.
