Abstract

The principles of precise T/F-comparisonbetween clocks in space and on the ground are summarized. The influence of asymmetries in up- and down-links on the accuracy are considered and measures for their determination and correction are presented. After pointing out two existing solutions, the concept of an improved microwave link is outlined, suited for the comparison of H-maser clocks in space and on the ground.
